Simone is a Psychologist and Therapist at the clinic. She is a doctoral candidate (Psy.D Clinical Psychology) and has a background in BSc Psychology and Masters (Counselling). Prior to joining Therapy and Beyond, she was a psychologist at a Psychiatric Nursing Home situated at Institute of Mental Health (IMH).

Simone works with patients through an empathetic and validating approach. In the psychiatric clinic, she is suitable for individuals that prefer a slow-to-warm up approach, moving through therapy goals at one’s comfortable pace. She enjoys providing counselling/therapy for patients through various therapeutic models (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).

Simone also assists a senior consultant psychiatrist with administering psychoeducational assessments for children, youths and adults such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties.

Simone has underwent additional postgraduate training for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Beck’s Institute) and Gottman Methods Couple Therapy (1 & 2).

Outside of her professional life, Simone enjoys mentoring students and doing expressive art in her free time.
